10-03-95 Asher Returns as Volunteer

ASHER RETURNS TO OHIO STATE AS VOLUNTEER COUNSEL TO PRESIDENT

	COLUMBUS -- Herb Asher has returned to The Ohio State 
University in a volunteer capacity to work on some special 
projects for President E. Gordon Gee as counsel to the president.  
Among these projects will be coordination of the university's 
interactions with the Ohio Board of Regents on a variety of 
issues.

	A search is under way for a director of state relations to 
succeed Asher, who was special assistant to the president for 
legislative affairs until his retirement on June 30.
