High St., during the Celebration of University Leadership. Formerly the President's Undergraduate Leadership Awards, this annual event honors students who have demonstrated leadership and service to the university community. The Kaplan Award will be presented to two students who have served Ohio State through efforts to promote intercultural, interracial and or interfaith understanding. The award was established in 1960 in honor of Rabbi Harry Kaplan who served as director of the B'nai B'rith Hillel Foundation for 35 years. The winners will each receive a plaque, leadership medallion and a $400 scholarship, and give a speech during the ceremony. President Gordon Gee will present the Outstanding Senior Award to 12 students who have demonstrated efforts to benefit the campus community through academics and leadership service. Each student will receive a plaque and leadership medallion.
