96-10-28 Clinton Visit-Traffic, Parking Other TRAFFIC AND PARKING INFORMATION FOR CLINTON VISIT TOMORROW COLUMBUS -- President Bill Clinton will deliver a campaign address tomorrow morning (10/29) at St. John Arena on The Ohio State University campus. He is the guest of Undergraduate Student Government, which extended invitations to both major presidential campaigns. The arena will open at 7 a.m., and the program will begin at 8:30 a.m. The president is scheduled to speak at 9 a.m. Tickets Tickets are required for entry to the arena. Free tickets are being distributed until 5 p.m. today at four Ohio State locations: a tent on the Oval, the Undergraduate Student Government offices in 201 Ohio Union, and the front desks of Enarson Hall and Morrill Tower. They are also available at Clinton/Gore campaign headquarters, 555 S. Front St., and Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, 858 E. Third Ave. Limit is two tickets per person. Parking Free parking will be available in the university's West Campus lots, with free shuttle bus service to St. John Arena. To reach the lots, take the Lane Avenue exit off State Route 315, turn west, go past the traffic light at Kenny Road, and turn left onto Carmack Road, which leads directly to the parking lots. Traffic Traffic on West Lane Avenue in the arena area will be stopped briefly when the president's motorcade arrives and departs. It should not cause significant traffic disruption. All drivers are advised that there will be extra congestion in the area both before and after the event. Other All Athletic Department offices and facilities in St. John Arena, including the Athletic Ticket Office and the Arena Shop, will be closed until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
