96-12-09 Trustees Honor Tonette Rocco ROCCO RECEIVES STUDENT RECOGNITION AWARD COLUMBUS -- Tonette Rocco of NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio, a doctoral candidate in adult education, has won the Ohio State University Board of Trustees Student Recognition Award. The award was presented during the Dec. 6 meeting of the board. Rocco was honored for her work on the Dean's Leadership Council, a student organization that works to enhance student and faculty communications in the College of Education. As co-chair of the governance committee, Rocco was instrumental in establishing a student-run journal in the college. A founding member of Students for Disability Awareness, an organization that provides information and education about disabilities, Rocco also serves on the Adult Education Colloquium and Community of Scholars. She has collaborated on three writing projects with her professors, one of which has been published, while two are currently in review.
