97-08-20 Advisory: Officials will discuss football parking NEWS ADVISORY: OHIO STATE OFFICIALS WILL DISCUSS FOOTBALL PARKING Fans driving to the Ohio State University football game vs. Wyoming next week will face heavy traffic and changes in traffic patterns and parking arrangements. The 1997 Eddie Robinson Football Classic will be played at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, following a regular business day at the university. Many students, faculty and staff will be leaving campus at the same time fans converge on campus. The closing of a portion of state Route 315 likely will add to the congestion. University officials who head transportation and parking services will be available for interviews at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 in Room 135 Bevis Hall, 1080 Carmack Road. Bevis Hall is on the university’s west campus and is accessible on Carmack from Kenny Road or Lane Avenue. There is plenty of visitor parking. Present will be Sarah Blouch, director of transportation and parking services, and Beth Kelley, director of transportation. They also will be happy to take your questions at other times, but because both will be busy preparing for the game and start of school, the Friday session provides the most convenient and efficient way to speak with both of them. # Contact: Ruth Gerstner, University Communications, 292-8424.
