97-10-02 Advisory: Glenn News Conference

                       NEWS ADVISORY:
NEWS CONFERENCE WITH SEN. GLENN, CHANGE IN TRUSTEES SCHEDULE

     Sen. John Glenn will hold a news conference tomorrow
(Friday, Oct. 3) at 10:15 a.m. in Room 4 of the Fawcett Center,
2400 Olentangy River Road.  The news conference will occur after
the committee sessions of The Ohio State University Board of
Trustees and before the board's regular meeting.

     Glenn is expected to announce a major contribution to the
university and to expand upon his plans for involvement in public
service after his retirement from the Senate.

     The news conference will begin promptly at 10:15.  Please
allow enough time to set up cameras and other equipment.  We
would appreciate everyone being ready by 10:05 a.m.  A mult box
and lighting will be provided.

     The revised schedule for the morning is:

8:45-9:15 a.m.  Educational Affairs Committee (Alumni Lounge)
8:45-9:45 a.m.  Student Affairs Committee (Room 103)
9:15-10:15 a.m. Fiscal Affairs Committee (Alumni Lounge)
