97-10-13 Advisory: Sen. Merle Kearns to Speak on PublicEducation Wednesday NEWS ADVISORY: STATE SEN. MERLE KEARNS TO SPEAK ON PUBLIC EDUCATION State Sen. Merle Grace Kearns, R-Springfield, will discuss the future of public education Wednesday (10/15) from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Edgar Dale Media Center, 260 Ramseyer Hall, 29 W. Woodruff Ave., on The Ohio State University Columbus campus. Kearns is chair of the Senate Education Committee. She will meet with Ohio State students, faculty and staff in the second of a series of campus forums about the future of public education in Ohio. The series is designed to provide an opportunity for students and policy-makers to air and debate public policy issues related to education.
