97-11-05 Author to Discuss Cultural Diversity in HigherEducation AUTHOR TO DISCUSS CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION COLUMBUS -- Best-selling author Dennis Kimbro will discuss marketing America’s future through cultural diversity during The Ohio State University Office of Minority Affairs annual Faculty and Staff Colloquy Nov. 20. The colloquy will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on the Lane, 385 W. Lane Ave. Originated by Frank W. Hale, vice provost emeritus for minority affairs, the colloquy serves as a forum for faculty and staff to examine national issues as they relate to higher education, said Rose Wilson-Hill, director of minority affairs administration. “The minority population is growing at a high rate in the United States, and as an academic institution, we felt it important to be in the forefront to discuss its impact on higher education, and how Ohio State can benefit,” Wilson-Hill said. Kimbro, a native of New Jersey, is the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Clark Atlanta University and the author of several books, including Daily Motivations for African American Success and What Makes the Great Great: Strategies for Extraordinary Achievement. Deon Strickland, assistant professor of finance, will begin the colloquy with a morning presentation followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer period. Joseph Alutto, dean of the Max M.
