MICHIGAN WEEKEND KEEPS STUDENTS BUSY--11/20-21. Here are some
game-related activities:
FRIDAY:
-- Wing the Wolverines, a substance-free party for students
at Larkins Hall from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring 15,000 chicken wings
to munch on and music by the campus radio station, The
Underground.
-- Beat Michigan Tailgate Party, 11:30 a.m. to l p.m., at the
transportation garage, 2578 Kenny Road. Transportation and
Parking Services will donate the food, and proceeds go to Bucks
for Charity.
SATURDAY:
-- Pancake Breakfast, 9-11 a.m. at Larkins Hall. Open to
all.
-- Spirit Tunnel, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., students and other fans
will line 15th Avenue to cheer the football team buses as they
pass by on their way to Ohio Stadium.
-- Winners of two competitions between Ohio State and Michigan
will be announced at the game. The Nike Re-Use a Shoe Program
collects used athletic shoes for recycling into playgrounds and
athletic surfaces in inner-city neighborhoods. The Red Cross
‘Blood Battle’ is a contest to see which school can donate the
most blood.
HOLIDAY FIESTA--Nov. 23. In celebration of the 1998-99 academic
year, students, faculty and staff are invited to a Holiday
Fiesta, 4-6 p.m. at the Faculty Club, 181 S. Oval Drive.
Organized by the Office of Hispanic Student Services, the
University-Wide Council of Hispanic Student Organizations, and
the Organization of Hispanic Faculty and Staff, the event
features refreshments and music by Yumbambe.

EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR DISCUSSES MIDDLE EAST PEACE--Nov. 24. Ahmad
Maher Al Sayed, the Egyptian Ambassador to the United States,
will speak at the College of Law, 55 W. 12th Ave. on Tuesday. He
will discuss The Middle-East Peace Process from noon-1 p.m. in
the . auditorium His appearance is sponsored by the International
Law Society at the College of Law.

UNIVERSITY CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING BREAK--Nov. 26-27. Offices
will be closed and there will be no classes on Thursday and
Friday. Thursday is Thanksgiving. The university observes
Columbus Day on Friday.

events through the remainder of autumn quarter. We’ll provide

Dec. 4--University Board of Trustees meeting.
Dec. 4--Last day of classes for autumn quarter.
Dec. 7-10--Final exams.
