CLARK KELLOGG TO ADDRESS AUTUMN QUARTER COMMENCEMENT--Dec. 11.
Clark Kellogg will again take to the floor of St. John Arena --
but not with a basketball in his hands or as a senior waiting to
receive his degree. Instead, he will deliver the commencement
address to about 1,400 graduates and their friends and families
at Ohio State’s 346th commencement ceremony. The event begins at
9:30 a.m. at St. John Arena. As the 1982 Big Ten Conference's
Most Valuable Player, Kellogg was 44 hours short of his degree
when he left Ohio State after his junior season to enter the NBA.
He retired five years later with a knee injury. He resumed his
Ohio State academic career at as a part-time student in 1993 and
graduated in 1996. Now a college basketball analyst for CBS
Sports, Kellog plans to address the graduates on issues of
character and personal development, and the importance of
following through with your goals.
