Friday 3/12-Monday 3/15 - Ohio State’s land grant mission is being re-defined to help address the critical needs of the nation in the new millennium. In a recent speech, Ohio State President William Kirwan outlined the university’s new and expanded land grant agenda for the twenty first century. Kirwan talked about his goals and vision for the university following his official investiture as president of The Ohio State University.

Monday 3/15-Wednesday 3/17 - Expressing disappointment, rather than using excessive punishment, may be the most beneficial way for parents to react to kids’ bad behavior. A study by Ohio State University Psychology Professor John Gibbs finds strong benefits to disciplining children by saying things like “I would never expect you to do something like that.”

Wednesday 3/17-Friday 3/19 - The typical college student today is older and needs health insurance that addresses health problems and issues found in older students. Ted Grace, a physician and director of student health services at Ohio State, says many people, including lawmakers who try to pass legislation to have health insurance for everyone, have an outdated stereotype of college students as a robust and healthy group that never gets sick.
