OHIO STATE ELECTRIC RACE CAR RACES IN INDY--May 22. The Smokin’ Buckeye, Ohio State’s Formula Lightning electric race team, will compete in the Indy Electric Classic on Saturday (5/ 22) at the .686 mile Indianapolis Raceway Park oval. Indiana native Warren White will drive the Smokin’ Buckeye, replacing regular team driver Craig Taylor, who will miss the race because of a family commitment. White made his electric car debut last year driving for Notre Dame. Ohio State is the three time defending champion of the ABB University Spec Series for collegiate electric race cars. Qualifying for the Indy Electric Challenge begins at 4 p.m. followed by the race at 7:45 p.m. ESPN2 has live coverage of Saturday Night Thunder beginning at 9:30 EDT.

ACADEMIC AND CAREER ADVISING FAIR OFFERS ADVICE--May 26. Students with career or academic questions can get all their answers in one place at the first Academic and Career Advising Fair, Wednesday (5/26) from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Oval. Sponsored by the Academic Advising Association of Ohio State and the University Career Services Committee, the goal of the fair is enhanced student success. Academic advisers and career services professionals will be on hand to answer questions and help students identify services and resources.

ROTC UNITS TO PARADE--May 27. Approximately 400 students in Ohio State’s Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine ROTC units will conduct a color parade and review beginning at 4 p.m. at Coffey Field (intersection of Woody Hayes Drive and Coffey Road, just west of Olentangy River Road). The uniformed cadets and midshipmen will march in formation, present colors, and be reviewed by a senior Army officer.

OUTDOOR CONCERT SEASON WINDS TO CLOSE--May 27. The finale of the free outdoor jazz concert season features a performance by the OSU Jazz Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (5/27) in Browning Amphitheater near Mirror Lake.
