Friday 7/23-Monday 7/2 - Workaholics have a reputation as people who are so obsessed with work that they risk harming themselves and their company. But an Ohio State University researcher has found that there may be some good workaholics. Marcia Miceli, a professor of management and human resources, says there are three types of workaholics. Two types work to overcome a personal deficit and feel stressed when not working. A third type works because they enjoy their job.
Monday 7/26-Wednesday 7/28 - Following a school year that included many deaths from guns in schools, what steps can schools take to prevent violence? Antoinette Errante, an assistant professor of education at Ohio State, discusses how schools can prevent violence. She has researched the community violence and socialization in the U.S., South Africa and Mozambique, and worked with Columbus schools in implementing school violence prevention programs.
Wednesday 7/28-Friday 7/30 - Ohio will soon join many neighboring states following the recent approval by state lawmakers to deregulate the electric utility industry. Kenneth Rose, a senior researcher at the National Regulatory Research Institute at Ohio State, says deregulation has been a long time in coming. Rose discusses what the move means for consumers and electric utilities.
