
A benefit dinner Friday (8/27) will highlight earthquake relief efforts by the Ohio State University Turkish Students' Association (TSA). The dinner will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. at Royer Activities Center, 85 Curl Drive, located in the north residential area of campus between Woodruff and Lane avenues. The association will sell Turkish food and collect monetary donations for earthquake relief.
The TSA has set up an account at Bank One for earthquake relief funds. The address is:
"Turkish Earthquake Relief Fund"Donations also may be made through any Bank One office.
All donations received for earthquake relief will be given to the Turkish Red Crescent (similar to Red Cross) for the purchase of food and medical supplies. The TSA also will collect donations at a table at Easton Town Center through the week.
The Office of International Education and the Middle East Studies Center at Ohio State are aiding the Turkish Students' Association in its efforts.
