ROADS SCHOLARS VISIT NORTHEAST OHIO--Sept. 14-15. Ohio State University faculty will hit the roads of northeast Ohio this September to get a glimpse of the university's relationships with educators, scientists and business owners in that part of the state. The 90 faculty will participate in the third annual Roads Scholars tour -- a two-day bus trip designed to give those new to the university a firsthand look at the range of ways Ohio State Extension agents, faculty, staff and students exchange expertise and resources with the state's citizens. The tour departs from the Fawcett Center and stops at the Newark campus, Coshocton, Newcomerstown, Akron, Chesterland, Cleveland and Wooster before returning to Columbus. The trips are sponsored by The Ohio State University President's Council for Outreach and Engagement, a group that encourages the university's outreach with Ohioans. President Kirwan will participate in a portion of the tour. Reporters may join the Roads Scholars at any of the stops. If you plan to cover one or more of the stops on the tour, please notify us by Sept. 10.
