Traffic limited on campus streets on Sunday during Columbus Marathon

Runners participating in the 22nd Columbus Marathon will pass through the Columbus campus of The Ohio State University from approximately 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday (10/21). To accommodate the race, traffic on several streets will be limited and may be rerouted.

The race route through campus begins with runners going east on Lane Avenue, south on Kenny Road, east on Woody Hayes Drive to Woodruff Avenue, south on College Road, west on 12th Avenue and south on Neil Avenue toward downtown.

Approximately 4,000 runners are expected to participate in the 26-mile race, which begins at 8 a.m. on Broad Street and finishes at Nationwide Arena.

WHAT: Many campus streets will be closed and traffic will be rerouted during the Columbus Marathon.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21.

WHERE: Streets on the Columbus campus that are part of the Marathon route.

WHY: Police will block streets and reroute traffic to accommodate approximately 4,000 runners participating in the Columbus Marathon.
