The university has formed a Parking Advisory Committee (PAC). Prior to moving forward with the parking lease, we assured you that the university would gather feedback about parking operations. One of the ways we will do this is through the PAC, which is different than the group the university gathered to provide insight while we were determining if we should move forward with the lease.
This PAC is chaired by the Office of the Senior Vice President of Administration and Planning and has diverse representation from faculty, staff and students. The parking lease spells out specific duties for the PAC, including providing input to the university with respect to parking operations and receiving requests from CampusParc for changes in fees or in the designation of parking spaces or permit classes. The PAC’s review of requests for fee changes does not include the yearly rate increases that are already capped by the parking lease. Those rates are held in place by the lease itself. We also expect this group to provide feedback to the Senior Vice President of Administration and Planning to be shared with CampusParc related to parking operations. In addition to receiving feedback directly from PAC representatives, the PAC can be contacted via email with ideas, comments and suggestions.
