Last week, Provost Joe Alutto sent faculty, staff and students an update on the status of the bid review process – and the leadership team also started a series of meetings with the Faculty Council, Senate Fiscal committee and other groups across campus.
The bid review process has been covered extensively in these meetings as well as in news reports. There are also additional resources to help you understand what the leading bid of $483 million could mean for the University if we decide to move forward.
We posted a graphic that details the benefits of this bid, as well as a grid comparing all of the bids on the parking proposal website, under Resources. The graphic breaks down how the additional funding from a $483 million bid could help support the Campus Area Bus Service other critical priorities – like academic research, student support, more faculty and a pedestrian-friendly campus.
For those who have recently submitted questions through the Parking Advisory Group mailbox, I’ll have answers back to you soon. In the meantime, keep checking the website. We will post additional information as it becomes available.
