I think this is a welcomed change to osu.edu, especially the changes to the navbar. It's much easier to read. The concern that the OSU logo being so hard to work around .. like a big, red gorilla in the room that needes to be visually tip-toed around ... is addressed.

The new design generally is much, much improved. I like the grid underpinnings ... much more visually logical. I like the use of the larger top image that spans the width of the grid. I like the placement of some of the incidental photos on the bias ... like they were phyaically placed onto the page by hand: this brings some relief from the strict adherence to the grid. I like the use of the top nav tabs and the abbreviated secondary links at the bottom of the page.

From a first perusal, the only issue I have is the heaviness of the text reading "The Ohio Stste University" in upper left of the nav bar. To my eye, it seems to overpower the rest of the navbar a little. So, I'd like to see the weight of the text bumped down a little.

But all in all, much nicer, visaually pleasing, esaier to read, and so I would assume, to navigate.

When will it be approved and go live? When should we be changing out our navbars on our local pages?
