This
site and many other university-related sites are maintained by
the New
Media Unit within the Office
of University Relations at The Ohio State University.
The
latest design of this page was published 10.16.2000. It was developed
using the HTML 4.0 specification and utilizes both tables and
CSS for positioning of elements and is designed to be compatible
with Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and
higher on both Macintosh and PC. The page was developed in consultation
with Ohio State's Web Interest Group and the Web Accessbility
Council, using the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium.
There
are three versions of osu.edu: text only,
text and graphics, and text,
graphics and Flash. The latter two versions are designed to
work best with monitors of a pixel resolution of 800x600 or higher.
The free Flash Player can be downloaded here.
The Ohio State homepage serves as a news source, a information
guide, and a starting point to other sites within the university's
vast web community. Every effort is taken to ensure that the university
content linked off our homepage is up-to-date and useful to a
broad range of audiences. The New Media Unit cannot, however,
be responsible for the maintenance and content of every website
within that community.
From time to time, site traffic information is collected on a
temporary basis to increase overall site functionality and performance.
At no time will www.osu.edu ever: collect personally identifiable
information (e.g., name, e-mail address), or provide or sell any
personally identifiable information to outside agencies (third
parties).
To
submit information for possible promotion on www.osu.edu, along
with any other questions about the site, contact webmaster@osu.edu.
