On January 28, 2006, key Ohio Education administrators, Latino community leaders, and public policy makers gathered on the campus of The Ohio State University to begin to identify solutions to the academic achievement gap for Latinos in Ohio.

The dialogue was organized around these three topics:

• What challenges to closing the academic achievement gap for Latino students are you facing in your schools?
• What solutions are working to close the Latino academic achievement gap?
• Where can we go from here to implement some of the identified solutions to closing the Latino academic achievement gap?

From that roundtable came a commitment to continue in a unified campaign to continue to identify and implement solutions to the academic achievement gap for Latinos in Ohio. This site will serve as a reflection of that work and resource for those committed to the challenge.
