PKI/SSL Tutorial
Scott Cantor will explain and demonstrate the basics of public key technology, certificates, and the use of SSL/TLS in web servers and related software. Topics will include how to create private keys, request and install certificates, and enable SSL on popular web platforms, and what this does and doesn't do for your site's security. How web browsers and other software interpret certificates will also be discussed.
Attendees should be familiar with the basics of managing a web server, such as Microsoft IIS or Apache.
