What is a Buckeye Bash?
A Buckeye Bash is a stand-up pep rally hosted by the Ohio State Alumni Association before selected Ohio State home and away football games. These events offer you an opportunity to gather with fellow Buckeyes and get ready for that day’s big game. The cost of a Bash includes site rental, food, beverages, door prizes, raffles, and appearances by Brutus Buckeye, the Ohio State cheerleaders, and other notable Ohio State personalities when possible. These events are typically held within walking distance of the stadium.
How do I apply for away game Buckeye Bashes?
Ticket-and-tailgate (bash) packages may be found here if available. All those applying will need to have activated their Alumni Association online account.
Bash packages that include tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will be available until the tickets are sold out. There is a limit of two game tickets per membership. Bash-only admission will be available for purchase online until two weeks prior to the event.
How do I buy bash tickets online?
To buy bash tickets, create an account if you don't already have one. Choose the first-time visitor option. If you have further questions, please contact us at email@example.com or 800-762-5646.
We recommend that you activate your account as soon as possible to save time when you apply for the Bashes on June 11.
I have activated my account, but have forgotten my password and/or username. What should I do?
- Click here and click on SIGN IN at the top of the page.
- When the red sign-in box appears, click "Forgot Username or Password" on the right-hand side.
- Enter your e-mail address and click "SUBMIT." Now check your e-mail for a message from our customer service department which will provide you with a link to reset your password.

Do I have to be a member to purchase tickets to a Buckeye Bash?
Only sustaining or life members of the Association are permitted to purchase Bash packages that include both away-game tickets and Bash admission (basic members do not qualify for football tickets). There is a limit of two game tickets per sustaining or life membership.
If you are not a sustaining or life member, you are not eligible to purchase away-game tickets. However, all Buckeye fans are invited to purchase Bash tickets and can do so only by submitting a "Bash only" registration.
How can I join the Alumni Association so I can purchase tickets?
If you are not currently a sustaining member, you can join to purchase tickets. Please call (800) 762-5646 to join and purchase your tickets.
Can I apply for tickets and then give them to a friend or other OSUAA member?
The person submitting the application must be the person who attends the Bash and uses the game tickets. The name on the reservations MUST match the name of the person picking up the tickets. This person needs to present a photo ID when they pick up their tickets.
Can I apply in person or over the phone for the Buckeye Bash?
Yes. It's easiest to purchase tickets online. You will need to set up an account to purchase tickets. Please follow the directions above to set up your account. If you have difficulty, please call (800) 762-5646 or email email@example.com for assistance.
Can I order more than two ticket-and-tailgate (bash) packages?
Each active member of the Association is permitted to purchase two ticket-and-tailgate (Bash) packages for each game. A package is comprised of one game ticket and one tailgate (Bash) ticket. Active members may purchase two packages for each away game.
What if I don't need tickets?
You can still join us and your fellow Ohio State fans at the Buckeye Bash tailgate party prior to the game. To purchase tickets for the tailgate alone, select "Bash only" when completing your online registration form.
How will I find out if I've received tickets to an away game and Buckeye Bash?
You will receive an e-mail confirmation and receipt upon successful submission of your request. The e-mail will list the total amount charged and the event.
What is included in my additional information email?
This e-mail will include an agenda for the day of the game; location of the tent; parking directions and maps; a menu; a football ticket seating diagram and information on where to check in for the Bash; and other useful information unique to each game location. The additional information e-mail will be sent approximately two weeks prior to the game.
Will my tickets be mailed to me?
No, game tickets will be distributed at the Buckeye Bash prior to the game. All tickets not picked up at the Bash will be taken to the Visitors Will-Call office one hour prior to the game. There are no tickets for Bash-only registrations. Your name will be on a list at the door.
What do I do if I need ADA seats?
As the Alumni Association has to request ADA seats ahead of time, please request ADA seating at the time of purchase. We may not be able to accommodate requests made less than one month prior to game day.
Are lodging and/or transportation included?
Neither lodging nor transportation is included in the Bash fees. Attendees are responsible for their own lodging and transportation arrangements.
What are the official Ohio State alumni hotels for away games?
The Alumni Association has, where possible, negotiated special room rates in select cities that host away games. If the association is unable to secure a block or rooms or special room rate, information on local lodging options will be provided in advance of the game. Click here for 2015 hotels.
Where is the bash located and where should I park?
Events are generally held within walking distance of the stadium. An email with additional information, details and maps will be sent to participants two weeks prior to the game.
Is parking included?
No, parking is not included in the price. You will receive an e-mail 10-14 days before the event with information on parking options and how much it may cost.
How do you determine the cost of a Buckeye Bash?
The Buckeye Bash is provided as a sponsored program of the Association. Our goal is to provide fans with the best possible tailgate experience in close proximity to the stadium. The rental fees associated with staging this type of event (site rental, food, sound system, etc.) dictate the cost for participants.
Is there a refund if I cannot attend the bash?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds.
Do you offer vegetarian food options?
The Association will make every effort to provide this option when available. However, due to the pre-set menus of our on-site caterers, it is not always possible. If you have a special dietary concern, please let us know at the time of registration and we will let you know if we are able to accommodate you.
Will alcohol be served at the bash?
Information regarding alcohol will be provided in the final confirmation note you will receive prior to the event.
How do I get into the bash on the day of the event?
To enter the Bash, present the email that contains your confirmation and receipt as well as a photo ID to the Association staff at the check-in area. They will issue you a wristband which will get you into the event.
What if I'd like to bring a young child?
Everyone who wants to enter the stadium for the game must have a ticket, regardless of age. All fans, except for those two-and-under, are required to have a ticket to enter the Bash. There is a reduced Bash rate for children age 12 and under.
