Access to care for adults with autism

Join us for the next Buckeye Smart Central Ohio Speaker Series event!

Learn about the offerings available at the Center for Autism Services and Transition (CAST), headquartered in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Hilliard Internal Medicine Clinic. Services are delivered by primary care physicians certified in both pediatrics and internal medicine, enabling them to care for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders.

CAST is the only place in central Ohio — and one of only a few places in the nation — where patients can access multiple services in a single setting with physicians who are experienced in providing comprehensive care for adults with autism and related, often complex, healthcare needs.

Currently, CAST provides care to more than 500 patients with autism and is continually growing to reach more individuals as word spreads throughout the autism community.

Christopher Hanks, MD, medical director, will provide an overview of the clinic, an update on services for individuals with autism and efforts by the staff to improve access to care.
