A Better Tomorrow: Solutions for the Opioid Epidemic

Join us for the next Buckeye Smart Central Ohio Speaker Series event!

Dr. Kelsey Schmuhl will provide an overview of the opioid epidemic, its impact on society and solutions for the future. She will discuss societal factors that have contributed to this epidemic and the multifaceted approach necessary to combat it. Dr. Schmuhl will also explain the prevention tool Generation Rx and share more ways for you to get involved.

About the Speaker

Kelsey Schmuhl earned her PharmD at The Ohio State University and is currently completing a one-year practice-based academic fellowship with an emphasis on behavioral health and addiction. Dr. Schmuhl also works with Cardinal Health to promote and enhance the work being done by the GenerationRx Initiative, provides pharmacy services at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for children and adolescents with behavioral health and substance use disorders and teaches an introductory pharmacy course to undergraduates at Ohio State’s College of Pharmacy.
