Discover the STAR Program

Join us for the next Buckeye Smart Central Ohio Speaker Series event!

Hear from Kenneth Yeager, PhD, LISW-S, director of Ohio State’s Stress, Trauma and Resilience (STAR) Program, which offers support to help people deal with stress and trauma. Dr. Yeager will cover the many ways the STAR Program supports the community, including victims of crimes, family members who have lost loved ones, and those who encounter stressful or traumatic situations daily, such as first responders and other health care providers.

About the Speaker

Kenneth R. Yeager, PhD is an associate professor, clinical, in Ohio State’s Department of Psychiatry in the College of Medicine, director of the Stress Trauma and Resilience (STAR) Program, and the David E. Schuller MD, Professor for Patient Compassion. Dr. Yeager has numerous publications in areas of: crisis intervention; treating co-morbid substance abuse and mental illness; quality improvement and developing quality metrics; and evidence-based practice, including the Oxford University Press book Evidence-Based Practice Manual: Research and Outcome Measures in Health and Human Services. He is a member of Oxford Bibliographies Online editorial board and a treating clinician for the National Football League Program for Substances of Abuse.
