Ohio State goes green, and you can, too!

What is Zero Waste?

Zero Waste is a philosophy that encourages the reuse of all products, with no trash being sent to landfills. To achieve Zero Waste status, 90 percent or more of materials must be diverted from landfills by recycling, repurposing or composting.

Learn about how Ohio State is working toward Zero Waste and how the ’Shoe has become the largest stadium in the country that continuously achieves Zero Waste status.

In honor of Earth Day and our continuing focus on sustainability, Ohio State’s Senior Sustainability Coordinator Mary Leciejewski will explain the university’s initiatives, as well as how you can go green in your own life.

If you can’t join us in person, watch live on our facebook page.
