The Ohio State University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites you to learn more about how your group can support student recruitment efforts at Ohio State. Student recruitment chairs are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome. Learn about recent trends in undergraduate admissions and meet Columbus staff.

1 – 1:15 p.m. Welcome Fawcett Center, Ballrooms A-D
1:15 – 3 p.m. Regional Engagement Roll Out, Fawcett Center, Ballrooms A-D
This session will focus on the new Regional Engagement Program and the rationale, purpose and goals the association has for regional engagement for clubs and societies. We will examine the current status and where we are going with this new program. The six regions will be shared, along with alumni population data for each region. Discussion also will center around the partnership being developed among the alumni association, the Foundation and the admissions office. A new financial incentive program will be shared, along with a restructured awards program and tiered level of recognition.

1:15 – 3:00 p.m. Regional Advancement Roll Out

This session will focus on introducing the new Regional Advancement Program and the rationale, purpose and goals the Association has for Regional Engagement for clubs and societies. 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. Staff Roles and Support for Clubs and Societies

We will introduce to you your Regional Engagement team during this session, which includes new staff at OSUAA, along with their partners from Admissions and Development. New support in the way of events, programming, websites, design, listservs and emails will be shared and the process on how to request the assistance. Additional services will be shared as it relates to event registration and annual giving solicitation.
4:15 – 5 p.m. Club and Society Requirements
Fawcett Center, Ballrooms A-D
This session will focus on the requirements each club and society must meet to receive financial incentives and services from the association.
5 – 7 p.m.  Opening Reception (complimentary)

To show you our appreciation for all that you do, we invite you to relax and mingle with other club and society volunteers with heavy appetizers, a complimentary drink ticket and a cash bar in the gorgeous new Archie & Bonita Griffin Pavilion.

10:30 a.m. – Noon Connection to Strategic Plan and Creating Engagement Strategies

This session will focus on helping each club and society create an alumni engagement plan by learning more about the goals and strategic plan of the association; learning engagement strategies from our Constituent Engagement staff; and hearing about best practices from other clubs and societies. (A 15-minute refreshment break will be available during the session.)

1:30 – 2:15 p.m.  Tax and University Fund Information

Our Advancement Finance team will share important information regarding your tax-exempt status, the group filing process and how to set up current use funds with the Foundation.
2:15 – 4:15 p.m. Breakout Sessions

OSUAA staff will lead discussions in a roundtable format with clubs divided into the six regional areas and societies divided by college/units and special interest. Best practices will continue to be shared as well as sharing goals and engagement strategies for FY 2016. (A refreshment break will be available at 3:15 p.m.)
4:15 – 5 p.m. Report Back from Breakout Sessions

We will take the time to hear back from each region with key points of discussion as we bring to a close a very informative day-and-a-half.
