Buckeyes will move forward together
A message from your alumni association president and CEO
June 1, 2020
My heart is with all of you, as in many of our communities, people are standing up and raising their voices in protest against injustice. I urge all those participating in these inspiring and important demonstrations to please do so safely.
Over the last few months, we have discovered new ways of protecting our loved ones and our health. We must continue to take care of ourselves and others.
The events of the past week have been incredibly distressing. The killing of George Floyd has provoked righteous anger across our country, including in Columbus. This tragedy has forced many to become more conscious that such incidents are far too common in our nation and our world, and I hope our increased awareness moves us closer to truth and fairness.
In everything we do as Buckeyes, we must live up to our values, to promote equity and inclusiveness and embrace diversity. Ours is a bold and compassionate community that works together to find solutions to the problems we face, and tirelessly strives to help others.
Your alumni association is here to keep you connected. We want to further this essential dialogue of change, and offer you resources that align with your lifelong learning goals and recharge your caring spirit.
Together we will move forward, with renewed commitment to creating a brighter future for all.
In firm friendship,
Molly Ranz Calhoun '86
