Special Report But for Ohio State Campaign
When more than 760,000 members of The Ohio State University family set a goal of transforming aspirations into reality, the effect is exhilarating. The students assisted, faculty inspired, research enabled, patients healed and learning spaces created are immeasurable. And but for you, none of this would be possible.
“We are so excited to exceed our goal for the But for Ohio State Campaign, but really gratified at the incredible number of people who gave — from the smallest amount to the largest, the entire range,” President Michael V. Drake said. “We’re grateful for every one of those gifts. Because really, every one is a vote of confidence, and we take that very, very seriously.”
More than three-quarters of a million donors — a figure thought to be unparalleled in U.S. higher education — contributed more than $3 billion to the fundraising effort that concluded this fall. Their generosity is at work in the form of student scholarships, endowed chairs and professorships, research and new and improved facilities.
