Looking for a few ways to “pay it forward” within the Buckeye community? Check out the suggestions below on ways that you can get involved with helping other OSU alums and current students in their personal career development!
It is as easy as sharing a job lead, agreeing to have a conversation regarding your career field or serving on a panel as an industry expert. The following are ways that you can volunteer through the Office of Alumni Career Management:
- Hire a Buckeye! Join Alumni Career Connection and post job opportunities to our job board, which is specifically geared toward your fellow alumni.
- Offer up a few minutes of your time for informational interviewing, general career advice, and more through our online mentoring network, AlumniFire. Join thousands of other alumni, students, and staff working to support one another in their career development.
- Network online, participate in discussions, and answer questions from alumni and current students via LinkedIn with our group, The Ohio State University Buckeye Network, the official career networking group for the Ohio State Alumni Association.
- Serve as a panelist or speaker at an ACM event. Our office holds regular professional development events live and online throughout the year, and we are always looking for standout alums to add to our list of potential speakers or panelists. Upcoming events are listed on the Career Management home page – feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you would like to be considered for a presenter or panel opportunity!
