Jacky Bennett, CMP
Director of event and facility operations
Jacky has been the director of event and facility operations since 2000 at the Alumni House. Originally from Kent, Ohio, she moved to Columbus in 1990 and graduated from Otterbein College in 1994. Jacky has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years due to a family business in the restaurant and catering industry. Jacky oversees the building and conferencing functions of the facility and really prides herself on a welcoming and outstanding customer service oriented department.
Melinda Alonso, CMP
Melinda joined the Alumni Association in April 2000. She was the manager of event operations for thirteen years and in 2015, she became our event manager responsible for coordinating all aspects of events held at the Longaberger Alumni House. Melinda is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in History of Art.
Event Operations Manager
Abby Wright joined the Alumni Association as the event operations manager for the events department in November 2014. She is responsible for executing the 1200+ events that are held annually in our facility.
Program Assistant, Alumni House Events
Melanie joined the Alumni Association in 2016 as our Program Assistant. She is the main contact for initial inquiries and serves as the main contact for club and society events held at the Longaberger Alumni House.
Alumni Association receptionist
Nina has been with the Alumni Association since February 1994. She is one of few staff members still with the Association who made the transition from the east wing of the Fawcett Center for Tomorrow to the Longaberger Alumni House, which opened in October 1999. As the main receptionist, she gets to know the thousands of interesting people who come through our doors each year. In May of 2009, Nina became a member of the Alumni House Events team, still offering her talents as our Alumni Association receptionist.
