Degrees of distinction
Ohio State conferred a record 11,235 degrees at its spring commencement ceremony earlier this month.
The distinguished graduates ranged from a student who has merged her medical and dance backgrounds into therapy for people battling the effects of chemotherapy, to one who has spent his time on campus trying to mentor the next generation. They all took distinct journeys to their degrees, and reached their pinnacles on a sun-splashed day at Ohio Stadium.
Take a look back at that day to experience the images and reactions that made it special.

Access, affordability and excellence. The university has frozen in-state tuition and mandatory fees for undergraduates for the fifth consecutive year, meaning Ohio students in the classes of 2016 and 2017 will graduate with no increases. Beyond tuition, Ohio State instituted a comprehensive freeze, including room and board, for 2015-2016 — the first of its kind in at least four decades.
