At 92, Reuben Klamer still visits campus to inspire students, who surely have played his most-notable creation: the Game of Life. “It’s popular because it’s familiar,” says Klamer, class of 1944. “It reminds people about their hopes and dreams.” Klamer created more than 200 toys and introduced unbreakable plastic to the industry.

Curing cancer requires all hands on deck. Across Ohio State, a coordinated battle plan is picking up more steam. In December, the new 21-story James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute opens its doors – becoming the largest cancer hospital in the Midwest. Ohio State will become the only university in the country with a comprehensive cancer center and a freestanding cancer hospital.

Nearly $11 million in student scholarships has been funded through the 50-year lease of Ohio State’s parking operations. In addition, 25 high-achieving undergraduates in each new class are receiving full-ride fellowships, largely paid for through income generated by the $483 million parking deal.
