Give to Ohio State

University libraries support the course work and research of faculty and students in various fields of study. Housing more than 6 million volumes and countless electronic resources, library collections include works in agriculture, art, life and physical sciences, economics, education, engineering, human ecology, journalism, music, psychology, pharmacy, social work, and more.

In addition to the numerous department libraries and specialized collections, the William Oxley Thompson (Main) Library is the heart of the university on the historic Oval. The library recently underwent a complete renovation, and houses significant print collections, digital information resources, spaces for individual quiet study, areas for interactive group learning, and fulfills 21st century information technology and research space needs. Distinguished rare books and special collections are available for exhibition and research.
