Excellence in medical care begins with excellent nurses

First-rate education is the foundation for outstanding nursing care. Two gifts of $1 million each will strengthen that foundation for College of Nursing students and for nurses at The Ohio State University’s Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.

C. John and FloAnn S. Easton’s gift to the College of Nursing establishes the FloAnn Sours Easton Endowed Professorship in Child and Adolescent Health. The Easton’s generous support will bring another highly distinguished, nationally renowned scholar to the college to promote excellence in child and adolescent health and provide mentorship to faculty and students in this field.

Elizabeth M. Ross is elevating nursing care at the Ross Heart Hospital with the establishment of the Elizabeth M. Ross Cardiovascular Nursing Education and Leadership Fund and the Elizabeth M. Ross Nursing Fellowship program. This gift will provide professional development opportunities for cardiovascular nursing staff that will ensure their ongoing success.

The Ross and Easton families are transforming nursing at Ohio State and improving patients’ lives for generations to come.
