Dior in Ohio

An Evening of Connections and Celebrations

December 6, 2017

The Ohio State University Women's Philanthropy Council hosted its annual Holiday Reception at the Historic Costumes and Textiles Museum, exploring the university's scholarly and artistic resource of apparel and textile material culture.

Members and guests had the opportunity for behind the scenes tours by museum curator Gayle Strege and a viewing of the exclusive exhibit Dior in Ohio 1940–1990, celebrating the fashion arts of Christian Dior throughout Ohio's history with pieces worn or donated by Ohio women.

Students from the Ohio State Fashion Production Association shared their original design work, which will be showcased at the organization's spring 2018 fashion show, Age of Innovation.

A brief program featured guest speakers:

Brenda J. Drake, Ohio State's First Lady
Joy A. Gonsiorowski, Women's Philanthropy Council
Sarah K. Parker, 2017 Women & Philanthropy Scholar
