The Helen Strow International Programs Fund in the College of Human Ecology
Established June 29, 2001, with lead gifts from Dr. Genevieve B. Schroeder (B.S.H.E., 1955; M.S., 1973; Ph.D., 1978), the estate of Helen Strow (B.S.H.E., 1925; M.S., 1931), and the estate of Dr. Florence J. Neuman (B.S.H.E., 1926; M.S., 1938; Ph.D., 1943); used to support three separate purposes as follows: 1) Three-year scholarship at the College of Education and Human Ecology (formerly the College of Education and the College of Human Ecology) for international undergraduate students whose studies are focused on human ecology. Scholarships will be awarded, in consultation with Student Financial Aid; 2) Short-term international study tours or courses at universities abroad that will give College of Education and Human Ecology (formerly the College of Education and the College of Human Ecology) students whose studies are focused on human ecology the chance to expand their knowledge of and experiences with families and communities worldwide; and 3) Biannual support for an international student at the college to attend a national professional meeting, and for a U.S. student to attend an international professional meeting. If no students meet the selection criteria, scholarships will be open to all students who are enrolled in the College.

The Doris Eckfeld Elliot Scholarship Fund in the College of Education and Human Ecology
Established February 4, 1993, in memory of Doris Eckfeld Elliot (Fulton) by her children. Distribution provides a graduate or undergraduatescholarship with preference to single parents with need who have custody of dependent minor child(ren). If no cand idate meets these criteria, the scholarship is awarded to a non-traditional graduate or undergraduate with need, merit and a commitment to a human ecology career. Unused distribution is reinvested to principal.

Harry T. Mangurian Jr. Foundation Brain & Human Performance Fund
to be used by the Human Performance Innovation Initiative, an interdisciplinary collaboration of Ohio State’s Neurological Institute (Institute) and Department of Athletics (Athletics). Funds shall support initiatives to improve health, recovery and performance by optimizing brain and body neural sensors, analytics and technologies integrated with other Ohio State experts in various disciplines, including leadership development, research, technology and educational outreach. Expenditures shall be approved by the directors of the Institute and Athletics in consultation with the Initiative’s program manager.
