University Libraries continues to be ranked among the best in the country. In a 2012 report by the Association of Research Libraries (using 2011 data), Ohio State is ranked 14th nationally and 5th among public university libraries in the nation.

The 2012-13 rankings recognize Ohio State as a leader in cardiology and heart surgery; diabetes and endocrinology; ear, nose, and throat (otolaryngology); geriatrics; gynecolgy (women's health); nephrology; physical rehabilitation; pulmonology; and urology.
