Neblo is a professor of political science, philosophy, communication and public policy at Ohio State. His research focuses on deliberative democracy and political psychology. He is the director of Ohio State’s Institute for Democratic Engagement and Accountability (IDEA).

Gretchen Klingler '19
Klingler, a Pat Tillman Foundation Military Scholar who earned Ohio State degrees in cultural anthropology and Arabic, is senior veterans manager for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, a bipartisan 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Washington D.C. She was a 2022 Young Alumni Award recipient from the College of Arts and Sciences, and she made military deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq and Djibouti while serving in the Air Force from 2009 to 2015.
