Pre-med Student Earns spot in Department of Anesthesiology
Emily Bitticker at a career fair

Emily Bitticker is looking forward to being a third year chemistry major here at The Ohio State University, and is thankful to her scholarship donor who has made it all possible.

"I have enjoyed every minute spent here at The Ohio State University, and am very grateful for all the opportunities it has to offer," Emily said.

Having liked the mandatory organic chemistry classes, which are considered "weed out" courses for medical school, Emily is happy to know she is in the right major. She plans to attend medical school and fulfill her dream of becoming an anesthesiologist.

Emily has been pursuing this goal of medical school by volunteering at The Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center. This summer, she earned a spot working in the Department of Anesthesiology as a research student in Dr. Christofi's laboratory. She is also studying for the MCAT, the entrance exam for medical school, which she will take in January.

Best of luck to Emily in all her endeavors that have been made possible by her generous donors!
