Expanding healthy food options for our students

In a difficult time, it is easy to overlook eating right. Ohio State's Buckeye Food Alliance (BFA) is doing its part to make sure that doesn't have to be the case for Ohio State's students.

When students resumed classes on March 23, the BFA, a food pantry that serves Ohio State's campus, extended its hours to ensure students had the food they need.

“Now is a good time for more students to realize the food pantry is here for them," said Michaela Martin, the assistant director for the Student Life Student Wellness Center and former advisor to BFA. "We’re trying to alleviate a burden. We have food for you and we can help you. This is the time more than ever to use the food pantry.”

The food pantry — open solely at its 150 Lincoln Tower location for the time being — is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays. If those hours don’t accommodate their schedules, students can email Student Life’s Buckeye Food Alliance Coordinator Nick Fowler to schedule a visit any day of the week, including weekends.
