Beat *ichigan Week

Beat Michigan weak 2013

The Ohio State v. *ichigan rivalry goes back 109 years, making Beat *ichigan Week one of our oldest traditions. But many events are new and aim to help not just our team or morale, but the community at large.

Battle Against Hunger
Battle Against Hunger is actually a month-long program aimed at creating awareness of issues surrounding food insecurity through food drives, service, and educational events. Different organizations and groups hold drives and report their results online.

Blood Battle
Blood Battle also lasts the entire month of November. The American Red Cross Club puts on a campus-wide blood drive competing with That School Up North. A total of 57 drives takes place throughout the month to meet the great need of hospitals in the area.

Beat *ichigan 5k
The Beat *ichigan 5k kicks off Beat *ichigan Week every year on Sunday. It's organized by the engineering honorary, Tau Beta Pi, and raises funds for a local charity, Neighborhood Services, Inc. (NSI). NSI is the only food and clothing pantry for the OSU Campus area. They serve an average of 1,700 of OSU's neighbors each month with food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance.

You can find pictures of past years' pep rallies or start counting down to next year's Beat *ichigan. Go Bucks!
