Remember her? This two-time recipient is back..

Eryn Clause

When we give $10 to a charity drive, we may wonder whether our donations are actually doing any good. Are we solving a problem or are we just muffling it for a moment? But when we give to students, when we grant a scholarship, we can see that it is not just a spark of reprieve but the start to a chain of growth. We can see that we made a difference; that our gifts achieved something; and that out recipients are moving on to give the gift of achievement to others.

Eryn Clause Is a perfect example of the reciprocity of giving. She was a two-time recipient of the Jody Victor Family Scholarship during her time as an undergraduate at Ohio State. Eryn graduated in 2013, and has now joined The Ohio State University Foundation team, raising money to grow the university that gave her so much.

"The Jody Victor Family Scholarship has impacted my life in so many ways. This incredible family not only helped me financially throughout school, but continues to be a huge part of my life," Eryn said, "Their help has gone above and beyond anything I ever could have imagined."

Eryn maintains a close relationship with the Victor family, visiting regularly. "They brought me in as if I were family too, and I greatly appreciate the major impact they have all had on my life. This is a family that genuinely wants to best for others, and their continuous generosity is astonishing."

Indeed, the Victor's generosity has helped land Eryn where she is today. "I am very excited to see where this job leads and how I can continue to grow along with the University."
