Mr. Krimendahl's legacy lives on after graduation
When the late Mr. H. Fred Krimendahl established an endowed gift, it's unlikely that he expected his assets to have such a dramatic impact on the life of a student.
Ryan Conolly graduated three years ago, but on this anniversary he reflects, "Mr. Krimendahl's generous scholarship had an immeasurable impact on my life and the life of my family, at Ohio State and beyond."
The H. Fred Krimendahl II Endowed Presidential Scholarship allowed Ryan to study abroad three out of his four years as an undergraduate architecture student at Ohio State. In that time he traveled to 13 different countries, "changing my view of the world forever."
His success enabled him to graduate this spring from Yale University with a Masters of Architecture Design, which he says "would have never been possible without the opportunities and experiences I had at Ohio State." With Ryan's education covered, his parents were able to afford sending his two younger brothers to Ohio State, who also recently became alumni.
When a student has the support her or she needs to grow academically, there's no telling what immeasurable achievements will be accomplished. Everything from their global perspective to their siblings will be impacted for the better.
