Scholarship Recipient Kati Donahue

Kati Donahue

"I am one of the recipients of the Wilbert "Tom" Ford Woods Endowed Scholarship. As a new Buckeye graduate, I am very excited for what the future holds! My final year at Ohio State was amazing! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in fashion and retail studies Cum Laude. During spring semester, I was an intern at Express on their creative styling team. I learned so much about the world of corporate fashion and my love for the industry grew immensely.

I am a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and participated in events such as raising money for CHOICES women's shelter. I also made friendships that will last a lifetime. I was on the design team for the Fashion Production Association, a student led organization that puts on a fashion show at the end of each school year. Seeing my design on the runway was an unforgettable experience!

In addition to my internship and extracurricular activities I took twelve class credit hours, three of which were spent as a teaching assistant for a global sourcing course. This taught me a lot about the world around me and fashion's impact on the global environment and economy. I and have been applying with companies around the Columbus area. I plan to make Columbus my home post-grad.

I would not have been able to have these life changing experiences without the support of the Wilbert "Tom" Ford Woods Endowed Scholarship each year. Your generosity has sparked a passion within me to strive to be the best I can be academically and in all of my future plans. I want to share this message with the warmest gratitude for all that scholarship support has helped provide for me. I know that the memories I made here at Ohio State will continue to shape who I am for the rest of my life. Thank you for being so thoughtful and your beneficence is appreciated every day."
