Student-Alumni Council

Student-Alumni Council is a passionate, diverse group of student leaders striving to advance Ohio State through programs that enhance the student experience, promote student-alumni interaction, establish a spirit of loyalty to the university and cultivate meaningful relationships. You can get involved with SAC by participating in their various student programs or apply to be a member of this 100-plus-member student organization. Signature programs include Beat Tees, Homecoming Pep Rally, Dinner for 12 Buckeyes, and Buck-I-Run 5K.

Student Philanthropy Council

Buckeyes define philanthropy as time, talent and treasure. This includes service and volunteering, random acts of kindness, and charitable donations. The many ways that Buckeyes give to strengthen their communities are all a part of the culture of philanthropy that we value and aim to cultivate. While you can be involved in philanthropy in almost any area of campus, the core Student Philanthropy programs are BuckeyeThon, Student Philanthropy Council (SPC), First Year Leadership Initiative (FYLI), and the Beanie Drake Board of Directors. Each of these organizations will be accepting applications for involvement in the fall.

Clubs and societies

Alumni clubs are location based and can connect you to alumni in your area. Club members hold events, promote student scholarships, perform community service, greet prospective students and generally celebrate being part of our ever-expanding family.

Academics- and special interest-based societies are groups of Buckeyes who want to serve the university because of individual affinities. Society activities include service projects, student programming, professional development, social events and scholarship fundraising.
