"OHIO in the deep!"

by Larry L. Rummell - '65 Journalism Grad.

My son and his family went with my wife and me on a Disney Fantasy cruise to the Caribbean in April for a week. Our shore excursion at Grand Cayman was an underwater Sea Trek some 50 feet below the surface, wearing these 75lb helmets. Lots of bubbles, fish and fun. Pictured (l to r) son Rick, my wife Mary, granddaughter Allison and me. Rather crude "OHIO," but the conditions called for quick action and making sure the helmets and air stayed on our heads. However, the spirt was there!

"Buckeyes in the Moringa Field"

by Teresa Commisso - CCC employee

Kathy Braidic (Office of the CIO, 1998 Grad Public Policy and Management -MA), Stephanie Taylor (June 2012 Grad from College of Social Work -BSW), Teresa Commisso (Comprehensive Cancer Center) and Pam Hardin (College of Education and Human Ecology) in a field near Cabaret, Haiti where we planted Moringa seeds. We traveled as part of a group of 16 from Grace Fellowship Pickerington and served with CPR-3. Nutritional analyses show that the leaves from the Moringa tree are very high in protein and contain essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins A and C. Delivering such powerful nutrition Moringa leaves have the potential of obliterating malnutrition and related diseases in developing countries.
