"O-H-I-O at the Center of the World"

While in Quito Ecuador we visited the Center of the World monument. The yellow line is the equator and the O-H is in the northern hemisphere while the I-O is in the southern hemisphere. Note the block O on the top of the monument. Are Ecuadorans secret Buckeye fans?
