Trip overview
Begin in vibrant Santiago, set against the snowcapped Andes, with a city tour and a visit to the renowned pre-Columbian Art Museum. Continue to Puerto Varas and ferry across to the enchanting island of Chiloé, where you’ll encounter its unique traditions and glimpse penguins in their natural habitat. Admire the turquoise cascades of the Petrohué River Falls and cruise across volcanic-framed Lake Todos los Santos. Fly south to Punta Arenas to see a full-scale replica of Magellan’s pioneering ship, then journey deep into Patagonia. Cruise the dazzling Ultima Esperanza Fjord, hike in the breathtaking Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, and marvel at the majestic, frozen Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers. Explore the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park, where jagged peaks, Lake Grey, and the thundering Salto Grande waterfall showcase nature at its most dramatic. Along the way, savor a Chilean wine tasting, a traditional curanto lunch, and a Patagonian barbecue. This first-class, small-group journey includes internal flights and a generous meal plan.
